Rules & Regulations
DRESS CODE

J. J. Academy maintains a uniform dress code in order to eliminate status dressing and reduce costs for parents and create a group identity for each school. J. J. Academy reserves the right to amend or modify this dress code at any time. Students should be neat and clean. Footwear must be in accordance with health and safety laws and must not damage floors. Both female and male students should not use facial piercings. When a child is out of uniform, the parent will be called immediately to provide the correct uniform for their child.


UNIFORMS

Students are to come in complete school uniform on all days including open days.

Students are required to dress in proper attire to reflect favourably upon the integrity and respectability of the School and the students. Policies governing dress code are as follows:

Students Have To Be In Complete School Uniform When They Attend (Regular Days- Open Days-Any Function- Extra Class)

Regular Uniform: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday

P.E. Uniform: Wednesday, Friday


SHOES

Only black shoes are allowed to be worn in the School unless specified otherwise. During the monsoon, special footwear (of black colour only) may be used. Under no circumstances can slippers be worn.
A student violating the dress code will be cited in his/ her handbook for the first offence and may be asked to obtain appropriate clothing before attending class.


HAIR & NAILS

BOYS : MUST HAVE SHORT, ARMY CUT, OILED HAIR. NO spiking up of the hair, pony tails or even colouring of the hair. Only boys of the Sikh community will have an exception to this rule

GIRLS: MUST HAVE THEIR HAIR OILED AND NEATLY TIED BACK IN a single ponytail in case of shoulder length hair or a single plait. only black bands to be used !

ALL Students are to have their nails trimmed short and kept clean at all times.

No mehendi and nail polish pupils are not allowed to have long nails or use nail polish. The application of mehendi, no matter what the auspicious ogcasion, is strictly forbidden during school days. Students coming to school with mehendi will be sent home and/or suspended till such a time as the mehendi wears away.

WATCHES : No metallic watches.

SPECTACLES: Students are to wear simple plain plastic black spectacles without any designs.

WALLETS AND PURSES : Notallowed in the school.

CHAINS AND ORNAMENTS : Notallowed in the school.
